| After
years of great music lying dormant, Bobby Barth, with the help
of his good friend, Brad Banhagel, have decided to bring the
spark of AXE back to the stage. Bobby has been touring for the
past several years with Blackfoot. He got to know Brad and
Brad's music through a mutual friend, Greg T. Walker, bass
player for Blackfoot. Earlier last year, Brad was asked to join
Blackfoot as their Tour Manager and Sound Engineer, and the rest
is history. |
| During Brad's work with Blackfoot, Bobby was able to see Brad's band,
Excalibur, at a festival in Old Town Spring, Texas, where Brad
resides. He obviously liked what he heard. After spending
several days at the house playing with Brad, Greg T. Walker,
Charlie Hargrett and Christoph Ullman, Bobby made Brad an offer
he couldn't refuse. It was time to get AXE back on the road with
some new blood, and a little old blood as well. |

Brad gathered his band members together, and with Bobby's help,
was able to reach Bob Harris, an original member of AXE
(keyboards/vocals), and ask him to join the new line-up of
talented musicians. The newest members include Brad Banhagel
(lead vocals/guitar), David Landes (lead guitar/vocals), Gerald
Berger (bass), Chris Lewis (drums), and Alex Salinas (Keyboard).

| To
those loyal fans who would scoff at this new and somewhat
unfamiliar roster, please know that this is not an effort to
replace the original band, but to keep AXE alive and bring
the music back to the fans. AXE is and always has been an
evolution for Bobby and the other original members of the
band over the years. Tragedy and good fortune have been
forces in the history of this band, and yet another chapter
is to be written in the pages of rock! Rehearsals have
begun, the lineup is solid. The only thing left is to
introduce the band! ...and so the show must go on! |
